Nester launches “Tell a Friend” and commits to funding a clean water well for every 250 new investors
BY Nester - 2026-10-23
Nester today announced two new initiatives for its investor community: Tell a Friend, a simple way for existing investors to introduce people they know to the platform, and a corporate commitment to fund a clean water well for every 250 new investors who join Nester and make an investment.
Tell a Friend
Tell a Friend lets verified Nester investors share a personal invitation link or code with friends who may want to learn more about Nester. The link is available in the investor dashboard on desktop and in the app.
The programme is deliberately simple. Anyone who follows a link is first taken to an eligibility and investor categorisation page. No product information is shown until they have confirmed their investor category and completed the relevant eligibility steps. Investing is always each person’s own decision.
The FCA, our regulator, doesn’t allow Nester to offer any reward, payment, discount or other benefit, financial or otherwise, to investors who share their link or to the people who receive it. The programme is aimed at investors who feel they have benefited from Nester and want to tell people they know about it.
“Our investors are our best advocates, and we’ve always believed the strongest introductions come from people who’ve experienced Nester first-hand. Tell a Friend gives them an easy, personal way to do that. There is no incentive attached, because there shouldn’t be. Investing is a serious decision, and people should come to it on their own terms.”

Every 250 investors, one well
Separately, Nester has committed to funding a clean water well in impoverished countries across the globe, in partnership with a charitable partner, for every 250 new investors who onboard and make an investment. Each well is expected to serve a local community.
A live progress counter on the desktop dashboard and in the app, shows how many investors remain until the next well. The count covers all new investors on the platform, not only those who arrive through Tell a Friend.
The Water Well programme is a corporate social responsibility commitment, funded entirely by Nester. It is independent of Tell a Friend and of any individual referral or investment. No investor receives any reward, benefit or charitable credit through it, and it does not affect investment opportunities, returns, charges or fees.
Zia Salik, interim director of Islamic Relief UK, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Nester, who have a clear vision to help people facing poverty to access clean water. Nester’s generosity to help fund our water projects will have a lasting impact across the world. These water projects provide 40 litres of water per minute and are sufficient to help 10–15 households.
“The commitment from Nester to fund a project in a country for every 250 customers onboarded should serve as an inspiration for others wanting to establish their corporate social responsibility. We are extremely grateful to Nester for their kindness and dedication, which will help to transform many lives and help strengthen community resilience.”
